Preparing Cold Rolled STeel for clear coat

Post by dustywill »

I havea sticky situation. I order 14 ga Hot rolled. This is what I usually work in. I realized last night what I made the first cut what I got was 12 ga cold rolled. The cut was nice, the thickness is nice, but I can tell there is an oil or something protecting it from being a rust ball. How do I remove this to get my clear coat to stick? I have a show tomorrow night and need to get on this today. Thanks for any help,
Byron
