Supermax Drum Sander

Post by TTMotorsports »

I've been making more and more signs and am tired of hand grinding then trying to grain them with belt sander.

Would a Supermax 19-38 Drum Sander work for this? Or anyone have any firsthand experience? Cannot afford or have space for a timesaver machine.

Went and tested a few pieces of metal through it and if there was any dross it would take multiple passes to get it off. Didn't have the balls the timesaver machines have to clean it in one pass so i passed on it.

If I may chime in. Don't they make a larger version, twin head 37" long with twin 5hp motors? Anyone see that before and or tried one to see how they go.
