Unfortunately 99% of this forum are unlikely to use the metals those finishes are intended for. The effects on mild steel will be very different to those shown. Experimenting is the only way to go with household chemicals. Also preparation and technique are as important what you use. Splashing oven cleaner on a piece you have just cut without any pre treatment or measure is unlikely to leave an attractive finish.
