converting to dxf problems!

I have been trying to learn tracing bitmaps and downloading in dxf format for my cutshop program. every dxf file opens in my cutshop program as a outline or random lines and shapes. I've watched tutorials and cannot seem to see what I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated.

With all the software programs out there some don't play nice. A file listed as DFX does not mean it can be read by all other packages. Does your cutshop read SVG format, if so save the file in Inkscape with that extension and try loading it into cutshop, but do remember that there can be a scaling factor when using SVG. With SheetCam a scaling factor of 1:1 is used to maintain the original size for the drawing.

Upload a file and let someone try it to see if the same issue exists in another software.

Cut shop does not recognize svg files. The trace is not great,either!
It is the program I was taught with my table.
I’ve had problems with some dxf files with cut shop.
Inkscape May be my answer. That is why I’m trying to learn the program. I’ve also tried to take my dad from Inkscape to sheetcam, but I get a bunch of extra lines, etc. doing that. Just trying to work my way thru it!

When you save a DXF make sure the two boxes are not checked
