Text Software, What works the best
Having just recently purchased a 6x12 table, I am very new to all of this. I am slowly getting it figured out and taking drafting courses in order to get caught up. I have 2019 AutoCad and Inscape installed on my desktop and would like to know what is the best software for a new user to quickly adapt to for cutting metal art with text? I have been asked (by family) to do a memorial piece (that is rather large) with Bible scripture imbedded in the art, I want to do it but have no experience in adding text and being able to adjust for "fall out". Any suggestions would be great and advise greatly appreciated.

I am no expert. I use Inkscape and download and install fonts from dafont.com. Here's a helpful video https://youtu.be/ZusRG2uF55A

I like Corel best, but that is what I have been using for many years.

Re: Text Software, What works the best
I use Autocad for drawing and creating my art files (only because I used it for 20 years and am familiar with it) but I use a program called Stencil Fonts by CadKas (?) to create my text, save as dxf and import into Autocad. I still run AutoCad 2010, not sure if 2019 still has Express Tools Add On but that has some text utilities that work to some extent. I use a program called Font Viewer to choose my font style as it quickly allows you to type a text and then switch fonts quickly and get a preview.
I know there are easier ways and better programs but I use what I am familiar with and make it work.
