I'm getting this error trying to open a .dxf file with inkscape, any ideas what's wrong ?

the DXF has embedded polylines. It recommends release 13 (DXF release) some CAD programs let you define what release of DXF you use for the export If you have access to the CAD file then you cna "explode " the polines. YOu might be able to open the DXF in a CAD program like QCAD and export inot an older DXF format. This is why I love DXF so much . Its always a surprise that just keeps giving. No two releases of the DXF formart are the same and its up to the export filter and then the import filter to be able to translate the different dialects.
