Downloading DXF Files for InkScape

I am having trouble opening any files I have downloaded on this file share forum in inkscape. Any help troubleshooting this will be appreciated. Thanks

use import function in inkscape maybe

Shouldn't be an issue. Are you just not seeing anything once you've opened the file? Have you tried zooming out to see if it just off in the distance somewhere?

There is a trick I use when that happens, download QCAD (free) and open the file there then save it with the R18 DXF format I just add a letter to the original name. Then you can open it in Inkscape, it seems the DXF file format is not universal, each software package may differ slightly.
