Cutmaster 52

Post by pgilley »

Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52 being used on cnc plasma table. Will be cutting great then in middle of cut seems to lose power, reminds me of trying to cut without ground. Arc is still on and it marks the metal. It will then start cutting as it should. Any one with ideas.

All it takes to get full power at the cut is for ALL of the current to be at the arc. A bad workclamp connection either end) or something in the torch head . The condution path for the workclamp is best if it as direct to the where the arc is as possible. If you do not have it directly to the material then try that.
