I have a TM1 with a hypertherm 600 bout 12 years old. I am gonna try to get the avhc this year. can the avhc be turned off and used as a lift station to run oxy-fuel?

I don't see why not. When I received my TM 2 4x4 table in Auugst they sent a manual torch holder with the unit. It is a piece of aluminum with mounting hols on the back and wheel on the side to scroll the torch up and down. Then, I bought the AVHC a month later and I noticed in the forums I have looked through the oxy fuel torch fit in the same torch holder as the plasma. So long story short, if the oxy torch fits in the TM aluminum holder, you could use the AVHC as a holder. If the size is right, it should work fine.
