My name is Michael. I have a Plasmacam DHC2 and just started having an issue today. Thsensor seems to be not detecting the metal surface. I checked every possible thing I could twice the got back to the servo motor connection and noticed a rattle inside the plug. Could there be something broke inside that ply? And, does this mean a total motor replacement or can I replace the connector?
Thanks for any insight I can get on this issue.

Re: material sensor on DHC2
Make sure the torch actually goes down far enough to touch the metal. In the settings the Over Travel for Sense should be 1.
Open Machine-Diagnostics.
Unplug the sense wire from the torch.
Use a piece of wire or a paper clip and insert it into the spade terminal on the sense wire and touch the wire to the metal.
Look at the AUX box in the Diagnostics. When the sense wire is shorted to the metal, the AUX should indicate Yellow.
If it does, then you have a bad connection to the torch shield.
