Thanks..I don't see why it wouldn't track correctly at higher speeds.

Re: cutting corrugated steel
If the corrugations are at a 45 degree angle then the thc needs to be able to move the z as fast as your x & y are traveling. If they are steeper then it needs to move faster.

Re: cutting corrugated steel
This may depend on your particular plasma table and your thc. Are you using Plasmacam with Advanced Height Control, or another brand?harrymorley wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 2:33 pm Will THC track properly over corrugated steel @ 250 ipm ?

Re: cutting corrugated steel
You will have to have advanced height control and adjust your Z axis speeds, height tolerance, and climb/dive zones. It's tricky but it can be done with a good understanding of height control. As dj said, pretending that the corrugations are 45degrees you'd have to have a cut speed equal to or less than your maximum Z speed. The Plasmacam Z motor is capable of up to 104.5 inches per minute.

Re: cutting corrugated steel
Thanks for that information Robert! I do have advanced height control, but have not yet attempted to cut corrugated material.rdj357 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 10:00 am You will have to have advanced height control and adjust your Z axis speeds, height tolerance, and climb/dive zones.
