Water table question

Post by TTMotorsports »

I have a dhc2 4x4 plasmacam with power max 600 hyperthermia plasma and when I ran my water up even 2 inches below the plate it would cause height errors or misfires. Any suggestions?

I would suggest lowering your water tray so that the water level is at least 10-12 inches below the top of your cutting grates. Then add a draft system (exhaust) to work in conjunction with the water tray to eliminate all the problems associated with water contamination/fowling of your torch consumables. Also helps to eliminate rust and improve your cut quality. I also have the Plasmacam DHC2 and this setup works great for me.

I had same issue on my water table and ended up hanging it below the grates 4 or 5in below to prevent the misfire when tip would get wet

My friend runs his water like 1in below the plate and says it has never caused any issues like mine has. Same dhc2 setup with hypertherm cutters too. Why the difference between his and mine?
