loss of torch cutting signal

Post by harrymorley »

Has anyone ever had a " torch cutting signal signal was not detected " error ? I have ran continuity checks all the way back to the controller on the ohmic sensing lead..i have replaced interface cable , which by the way I knew wasnt the trouble. I have checked the grounding cable.. i have used the torch separately from the table. I have connected grounding cable directly to work . I replaced the 47k resistor in ohmic sensing lead. Im now at loss as to what to do next.

Are you interfacing at the CPC port, or hooking the stock Plasmacam cable to the plasma source's power board? If the latter, double check that the arc sensing wires aren't inverted.

Another possibility is that you're actually losing the arc - usually an air supply problem (pressure drop during cutting).

francisco..found the trouble.. I took ALL cables apart..used dustoff ( canned compressed air ) ..cleaned them...reassembled them..powered up..all ok..Im figuring one of the connections was dirty or slightly corroded.
