Cutting issues Hypertherm 65

Post by unixi407 »

Hi, anyone can help solve what's causing the uneven cut? For the past few months everything was working fine, and today it started to cut the way you see in the picture. Is it an issue with the table or the cutter? I'll appreciate any help and suggestions. Thanks!

It looks to me like you've got some slop in your table. I would check the gears, pulleys, belts, etc. for loose or worn parts. As an aside, I would also check to make sure you are cutting at "book specs" for your plasma cutter and material you are cutting. It looks like your cut height is too high.

I'm with David, looks like slop in your tables drive system not the Hypertherm 65. With the motors powered up try to wiggle the torch lifter and gantry and you should be able to quickly isolate the loose axis. What table are you working with?
