On/Off Relay Hypertherm Powermax 85

Post by svieau »

Using Mach4 with sheetcam, ess and C-25 BOB. I got a Pricecnc AVHC10 hooked up for my THC. The question I have is the hookup the machine interface cable the 3 and 4 on/off of my torch on my Powermax 85. I don't know where to connect it to. Pricecnc told me it goes to a relay that I don't know where or what it is. If I need to add one which one and how am I to connect it, and where. Thanks for the help. Steve

With the C-25 BOBs you need an external relay to trigger the torch, with Mach 3 I used output #1 and used pin 9 with M3 to trigger. But Mach 4 seems to be different and use the spindle output (pin not known) and M9 to trigger it. I would look for a pin that is triggered by M3 off M5 which is easier for G-code and a post processor.
Side note where and when did you buy the Price AVHC-10 THC???

Thanks for the help. As for the Pricecnc AVHC10 I bought it over a year and half from Pricecnc, if you are interested the company was bought out by Xtreme Engineering, they are still in the UK. You can still can it from them. I have really not started my table so I really could not say too much about the unit, I heard it was real good.

I made a mistake on the website for Pricecnc AVHC10 its not Xtreme Engineering but its Kronos Robotics. If anyone else is interested in this unit.
