3-70-0 error code ( PMX 85)

i just bought an used HYPERTHERM PMX 85 and an error is showing.

error code is : 3-70-0.

does anyone had a problem like this? please help me !!

Here are some of the common fault codes for the Hypertherm 85. None of them match your numbers. Are you sure you are reading it correctly?

Pdf page 157,

try clearing out the inside with a small paint brush and compressed air nozzle, leave it in the off and unplugged condition for a while to discharge any capacitors..... it may help....

From Hypertherm 65/85 service manual.

There is a fault with the communication
between the DSP and Power board.
• Check the board connector.
• If necessary, replace either the DSP or
Power board.

Don't worry about blowing out the inside of your plasma cutter - that will not help. The main thing to do here is to unplug and re-seat the board connector. If anything, clean the mating pins and sockets before reinstalling the board. Sometimes it is good to plug and unplug the board several times as this helps to scrap off any oxide on the pins/sockets. If this procedure fails to remedy the problem, then it is probably time for some new components - as described in the fault message.

won't hurt and it's part of the recommended routine service
