I decided to upgrade to a hypertherm the other day. I bought the setup that came with a hand torch. I bought the CPC cable as well.
I'm having trouble getting it to fire from the computer. I can manually pull the trigger and get it to fire though.
I have the green and black pair from the CPC going to the start stop of the cnc, and the white and black of the CPC going to the + and - on the bottom of a Proma THC.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Hypertherm 45xp CPC cable help
I'm not 100% certain but I am thinking the CPC cable is only for use when a machine torch is plugged into the machine. Maybe your hand torch trigger not being pulled in is the break in the circuit to fire the torch.

Re: Hypertherm 45xp CPC cable help
I'm pretty sure weldguy is right. The torch switch connection in the CPC only works with the machine torch. I think there is a workaround posted somewhere that jumps 2 of the torch connector pins with a small wire to make it function with the hand torch. I'll see if I can find it.

Re: Hypertherm 45xp CPC cable help
This is what I was thinking of. It's for the 45xp, but I would think something similar would work.

I was not able to open the link because I am not a member of that site, but I did find the work around with jumping to pins.djreiswig wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 1:27 pm This is what I was thinking of. It's for the 45xp, but I would think something similar would work.
