Cut Charts

Post by Mr. Fixit »

Hi All,

I just noticed that the cut charts within the manual that I received with my new PM 65 differ significantly from those that came preloaded with my CandCNC and Linux Computer (in Sheetcam) which I was told were specifically from/for Hypertherm  . I can omly imagine that everyone will say to go with the manual that came with the machine which only makes sense, but just wondering if anyone had that experience.

Thank you..

Well, I have a CandCNC setup, and I use the CandCNC tool table that came with it. I have a 45, and the values are the same on most things with just a few differences.

Interesting, I see many differences. As an example, fine cut consumables for 14 ga steel has a 50 ipm delta between the book and the software. Hmmm

Thanks.

I recommend what the operators manual suggests. Hypertherm designed the system, the torch and the consumables...and spent a considerable amount of time developing the cut charts for best quality , speed and consumable life. Jim Colt

I assumed that this would be the suggestion and also figured that some information has changed over time as further developments take place.

Thank you..
