Right now my machine is set up for 3 phase. I already have a 4 prong plug on it and have been using it.
I moved it to my garage which is single phase. I don't understand what I need to do to get this machine set up on single phase. I read online and some people are saying to cut the wire that is currently in slot L3 and tape it up. But it also says for single phase there should be a ground there when I don't have that ground wire.
Is there another power cord I should be buying? This one already has a lanyard/connector on it so I am not sure how to go about doing this.
An electrician already installed a matching 4 prong outlet for me to use.

Re: Switching Powermax65 to Single Phase
I believe that is correct that your 2 hots go to L1 & L2. You should also have a ground connection inside the unit. You don't need a 4 prong plug. The 4th prong is probably a neutral, which your cutter doesn't use. It won't cause any harm if you just cap it off.

Black, and white wires go to line 1, and line 2.
green is ground.
red is capped and not used.
