I’m new to mechanized cutting and I was just wondering about consumables.
Can I use the 220948 shield on the 220854 non omic cap with the fine cut nozzles 220930. The diagrams show this shield only with the ohmic cap and the non ohmic cap with the small deflector. I would like to know if the 220948, 220854 and 220930 combination would work because I would rather run a shield vs non shielded.
This is on a new powermax65 with mechanized torch.
Thanks Tracy

For sure that would work just fine. I personally use the 220955 deflector with my Finecuts with no problems. Finecuts operate at lower amps and don't have to pierce thick materials so shielding is not as important.

Great news.... I was concerned the life span on my fine cut nozzles would be diminished using only the deflector.. I appreciate the reply.

If you are using a cnc machine with THC that uses ohmic sensing...then you need to use the shield. The shield also does not allow the nozzle to touch the material, which results in longer nozzle life. Jim Colt Hypertherm
