How did you do the marbling and the torch?
Every time I've tried the map gas torch and some oil it turns just dull.

Question from a newbie... I tried both the original and single card holders. My PlasmaCam told me I had to generate cut paths, so I did. Then the machine cut each cut twice! What did I do wrong or not understand when I download the file and try to use it?

By the way - THANK YOU to all those who shared these files!

I don't know how plasma cam works, but on my torchmate mine does that if i do export and don't select tool paths only.

Please give a hint on how that texture was done! Very nice; so is the card holder.

Here is a better picture of it along with the tool. I am a blacksmith, so make the tools I need for use on the treadle hammer I built. The tool has a slight radius so you can better control the lines, rather than just a straight mark like a chisel would do. Heat colored the feather, Sculpt Noveau patina on the rest of it.

Flaming Business Card Holder I made from files in here. Just tack weld the small flames to the front of the card holder.

Do you need a finger press to bend these bends? Looks like it to me.

No, I do it all hot with a torch and pliers in the vice.
I cut them out of 14 ga, so pretty easy to bend. And, the way the original creator of this file set it up with the cut outs on the bend lines it makes it pretty much a snap!

This has been a great way to use up some scrap 16ga.

Some of you might go to ARC3 for your welding supplies, so please make one for your local supplier too. If you see one already on the counter, you'll know it was from here. :)

That looks pretty dam cool, but grabbing a card might be a little dangerous with those sharp points on the front flames LOL , Im just saying. ( not trying to be rude don't get me wrong) Its the first thing that came to mind. lol

Hi Jakedog

Good thinking,
There is an up-side to the flames :?:
At least it will stop people from just taking them and keep costs down on re-ordering your business cards
