31 Ford Roadster DXF Design
This is a 31 or 32 street rod I did for a "Friend of a Friend" He wanted a side view for over the shop door!
The only pic he had (below with finished piece) was not right! So I looked through my files and the closet I had was a 31 Ford coupe partially done (screen shot below)! I took that and stretched it to look like theirs plus some fender mods and other things! Considering this was 2018 I thought it came out pretty good! I was still figuring out "Design Edge" at the time (had the machine about 1 year as a "Hobby" ) I still learn more everyday!
Thanks in a big part to this site!

Jeff - thanks for the share! Those look great. I know that Tom had a real one that looked similar, and I've got a '29 coupe project going that has sort of been on the back burner for a while.

Re: 31 Ford Roadster DXF Design
Very nice project! Looks like a BB Chevy with "3 Deuces" will be a fun ride for a lightweight car!
I know how the "back burner" gets! I had a '25 Chevy truck given to me (with a flathead 4cyl) that I thought about restoring (fenders and box sides where solid) then decided to make a street rod out of it and put my "Rat Motor" in it! A '69 Chevy 396 I rebuilt and had in a '82 Chevy PU!
Helped build a '40 Chevy Coupe with a friend/relative! We put a '76 Nova front and rear under it with a "slightly" built 350 SB and a turbo 350 trans with shift kit! Needed the automatic so his wife could drive it!
Ended up trading the '25 to a friend for a 1 1/2 hp Baker Monitor Jack Jr. "Hit-n-Miss" engine and a Model 92 Maytag engines after having the '25 around for 6-8 yrs! He's still not done restoring it to original after 10-12 years! Now on HIS Back Burner! The Maytag is restored and runs, the Baker runs great, still in original condition! Wish I had the time then that I have now!

Here is mine but I don't have it anymore, Chopped roof, channeled on the frame, flush fit doors, and hidden hinges.

Mine is actually a 327, early Corvette fuelie with the FI replaced with a tri-power setup. The double bump heads give it away.

Jeff - those look pretty cool and take up a lot less room than a car (or truck). Nice!!J-SIG wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 7:08 am

Very cool Tom! I've seen these before, but never get tired of looking at them. That bright orange paint job really stands out. Nice!!acourtjester wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 9:21 am Here is mine but I don't have it anymore, Chopped roof, channeled on the frame, flush fit doors, and hidden hinges.

True on the less room... except they where my 3rd and 4th engines which led to another 21 Hit-n-miss or Continuous fire engines (fires every revolution)! I have them all running and on carts (Trucks) 2 completely restored and 3 that the original paint looks good the rest are on the "Back Burner" for paint!adbuch wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 1:22 amJeff - those look pretty cool and take up a lot less room than a car (or truck). Re: 31 Ford Roadster DXF Design
Its neat to see the old engines in working condition, I forgot about the foot pedal for starting. The names of some like the "Hit and Miss" or "Flame Sucker" to name a few.
