Take 'Em To The Train Station

Post by jmersereau »

Here is a design that was made to be cut at 18" but can be scaled to fit your needs. If you want two layers then cut the matching solid circle background the same size for painting a contrasting background.

Nice! There was a guy on one of the Plasmacam facebook groups cutting something similar and he was calling them "Yellowstones". I really didn't know what he meant. I just looked it up and now I see it relates to the TV show Yellowstone. I have never seen an episode, so I didn't know what it meant -
"take me to the train station". Did you export this file from LightBurn?

David,

Yes, I just started watching the series. The show looks great so far. I did start with a dxf from another site that was all broken segments and a bit lopsided. I just cleaned it up, made it symmetrical and joined all the broken segments in Lightburn and then exported it.

Did it open okay for you and did you see any issues I missed?

Jim - I was just curious because there are some intersections that would normally not be there when exported from LightBurn. In fact, LightBurn is a great tool to use for linking/joining files. Simply import to LightBurn and export the same file from LightBurn and the file is normally totally linked/joined. In this case it would still cut fine, but I always open them with DesignEdge just to check them out. Here is your dxf when I opened it with Design Edge.

If I open your file with LightBurn and then export as dxf, this is what it looks like.

David,

That's really odd, when I imported the dxf back into LightBurn I had a single open node between the T and the H, Not sure what I did to cause that, but also I don't understand why you get 6 open nodes.

Here is the file again (after I closed the open node) and it shows no open nodes when I bring it back in, what do you see?
