Could use some help.

Post by jacylong2018 »

I am an educator and my license for my design software has expired. Working for a school it takes awhile to get paper work done for me to renew my license. I have some designs I was working on for some customers and now I cannot finish them. If someone could help me out and make these into dxf files I would greatly appreciate it.

Download Inkscape, it's free and there's plenty of tutorials on Youtube, etc.

The leopard traces real easy but it has a zillion dropouts so don't know how you'll cut that one.
2500 x 1500 water table
Powermax 1250 & Duramax torch (because of the new $$$$ync system, will buy Thermal Dynamics next)
LinuxCNC
Sheetcam
Alibre Design 3D solid modelling

Easily...that's how beefy :D
If we look at the leopard and think how to keep the spots one easy way pops into mind. Simply break the interior path running parallel to the outside perimeter in a few strategic places annnnnd...voila.....spots cut out and all detail remains. Will need to do the same around the mouth, eyes etc. Anywhere detail will drop.
Check....and mate! Just sooooo busy can't even take on this easy one at the moment.
Take care guys!

Took a little lunch break and traced it out for you, quick example of what I was explaining. Scaled to 24" tall.

Thank you!
For a little more learning, or a way to see more clearly what I did just pull the original pic into cad, bring in the .dxf and scale to size where it is a direct overlay. Will scale exact. (or should) :) Helps to select a bright red from your palette to color the lines of the drawing. Should see where I chose to break it.
Have a great one guys!
