Chain Filing Stump Vise

Post by Scratch »

Not much of a share, but I needed a stump vise yesterday and didn't have a way to get into town, so I just made one.
It's made from 1/4" steel and has a 7/16" nut welded to it. I did sharpen the spikes a bit, and welded a washer onto the bolt head. Works great.

Wasn't sure how this was to be used but checked a vid on YouTube. Super cool, I didn't even know these existed, now I want to make one. Thanks for the share!
