First Share: Clint Eastwood

Post by TrinityFabworks »

This is my first time being able to share a file on plasma spider. This has been an awesome site to go to for help! Thank you to everyone who helped me get my table up and running, and to those who share file after file. My dad is a really big Clint Eastwood fan, so I spent quite a few hours trying to figure out how to convert a photo from his movie Josey Wales into a cutable file. Anyway, I hope some of you can use it. I only had 8" x 24" of scrap left so I made it pretty small. It would turn out alot better if it were about 12 or 14 inches tall. It looks SO much better in person hanging on my dads wall in his garage than it does in the pictures.

I'm trying to upload an image of what it looks like cut, painted, and hung on the wall. It says that the file is too large. Any way around this or to shrink the file size?

You can put it into a .ZIP file and send that, WIN RAR is a free program that you can use to zip & un-zip files you can also bundle files into a single zip file to send.

Extremely impressive design. I have always found faces to be very difficult to do but you knocked this one out! Thanks for sharing!

Nicely done!

To post photos on here I downloaded an app on my phone called 'Photo Compress.' It was free and allows me to shrink photos that were originally 4+ MB down to less than 1 MB for posting here.

Load the picture into PAINT, then in the file tab there is a "resize". Click on that and you can change the file size by a percentage or by pixels, be sure that you do a "save as" if you still want the original file. :D

Here it is cut. It is a lot better looking in person. I will say, it is best to hang high up on the wall. When I first picked it up off the table I was very disappointed until I put it in front of a backer and stepped back.

You can convert the svg to dxf for free in just a few clicks using cloudconvert.com.
