what processor

Post by kennye »

Im running a hypertherm xp 45 with a promo thc .I looked at all the processors and the one I was using was without thc
When I change it to one with thc my mess goes crazy I want to think the one I started was mach 3 generic
without thc but cant b sure I was getting some pretty good cuts but i had to keep setting my promo during the cuts so I figured that was my problem
but apparently not Im really confused on this one anyone got any suggestions thanks in advance.

The only difference between the MACH 3 with THC and the MACH 3 plasma (no THC) is the THC version includes IHS (Touch off) The settings on the Promo cannot be changed from MACH.

Ive tried everything from fast to slow looked in the manual and set torch by factory specs still blowing out torch ck for moisture
good no problem there changed consumables still blowing out torch watch code to make sure software not cutting it off
I can cut cnc off torch runs all day long no problem.may b i should have just manual cut everything and saved the money on the table
Im stumped could someone tell me when they get time what type of cut settings they are using for 14 gauge before I take a hammer to it
or put it on Craigs list . thanks in advance

Go back to whatever worked last. Change one single thing at a time from there, until you find what is causing the issue. Don't change multiple things at once.

let try to clear somethings up you say the torch is blowing out, Do you mean it stops (no plasma stream out)?
If that is the case maybe you have a problem in the wiring that fires the torch (torch on).
Are you using a hand held torch or machine torch?
How do you have the Proma input hooked up are you using the raw plasma voltage or a voltage divider?
