Sheetcam error

Post by blackandtan »

I get errors sometimes in sheetcam that shows some paths were not generated correctly. There could be a problem with the drawing. I usually just follow the rapids lines and can find it, but on a file that has a lot of pierces that takes a lot of time. Do any of you know a quicker way? I hope one day Les will have it show the problem if it knows there is one.

I definitely 2nd that one. I have to go hunting the way you do, following the rapid lines and zooming in on bigger jobs to see if it's a faulty pierce point or a normal one.

Perhaps colour coding on the bad points would allow fast identification.

I've mentioned this over on the Sheetcam forum as a new feature suggestion.

I've had the same error numerous times. On some drawings its just a matter of moving or deleting a node, but I did not have this issue on earlier versions of Sheetcam.

Les over on sheetcam mentioned clicking on the part and rotating it in 3d mode helps in finding the problems.

I will try that next time. Usually its not to bad but when there are 200 or so pierces it sucks. And yes most of the time its one stinking node. Thanks for the replies.
