Q on remnant cutoff

Post by motoguy »

Is it possible to control the remnant cutoff path? I'm trying to use the remnant cutoff tool, but it's not giving me the path I want. I've attached a photo. I want the remnant to remain one large section of the sheet. The tool is trying to cut it into two sections: The large section "B", and the smaller section "A".

I want them to stay together. Is there a way to delete the vertical cutoff line between A and B?

I'm afraid the only way to do that is to draw the cut paths and cut them as a different part. Remnant cutoff is meant to produce easy to handle rectangular remnants.
