Sheetcam post processor location problem

Post by acourtjester »

I have run across a odd problem with SheetCam loading a edited/older Post Processor. In the past if you edited or uploaded a post processor it stored it in a separate location on the hard drive. When you wanted to change to another post processor (edited or uploaded one) it would show in the list of post processors. Even if it was in the separate location on the hard drive. Now it will not show them even though they are in the separated location shown in the "Default directories" shown in the "Applications options" address for Import post, see attached screenshot.
Will another member check to see if you see this too. I am using the development version 7.1.23 newest release.
Or if you read this Les please comment.
I have used a work around by copying the post processor from the separate location to the installed location for SheetCam in the Programs files. Unknown why this was changed from the older way!!!
Thanks Tom

Tom - I don't know enough about Sheetcam to be of much help here. Hoping that Les will chime in. I think I read somewhere that Les is retiring, and if true I wonder who will be filling his shoes.

Try posting over on the SheetCam forum. Les is probably more likely to see it over there.
One thing that changed in the post list, from my suggestion, is that the edited posts now appear at the top of the list. Could this be why you're not seeing it?

Thanks djreiswig you are correct :Like , they had placed them in order by name before with edited in the new title. not sure if all are there will test to see. Test works and it is where you said. :Like It did require me selecting the location, which is I placed in the alternate location where the older edited posts were stored, but does show in the top of the list like you said.

Great. Yeah, I suggested for Les to change how the list is formatted. I figured that most people who have edited a post usually use that one. I didn't like having to search through the whole list to locate the posts I use. Having them at the top makes things easier. Hopefully you feel the same.
