New PlasmaCam 5X10 Table, Cutter, Etc For Sale
Hello all,
I've got a new table, Hypertherm 85 cutter, computer and computer cabinet, software, router, pipe cutter, industrial fan, spray booth (can be used for the downdraft sides or as a booth), wench, and new 80 gallon air compressor. I think that's all...whew! It's all new except the booth and fan...which are all in good condition.
Long story short, I got excited when we opened our new shop and purchased this equipment thinking I could make our own signage and then use the equipment to make money. I never even learned how to use the software. I've set the machine up, used it for about 2 hours...enough to actually cut a small piece and that is it. Now I have it sitting in my garage disassembled, taking up space.
I have literally sat here for a year thinking that I was going to set it up and teach myself how to use it. Heck, I don't even have anywhere to actually set it up! I know how to create DXF files (I laser engrave all the time)...but I totally underestimated the learning curve for the plasma table.
I'll transfer the ownership to whoever buys it so that they have all they need from PlasmaCam.
I don't even know what to ask for a price. Make me an offer...and don't be ridiculous...lol.
I'm in Branson, Missouri. Feel free to give me a call: 417-230-2615.
Thanks, Laura

Laura - how long ago did you purchase your Sampson 510 table, and if you do have the Design Edge software - what software upgrades - if any - do you have? You might also consider posting some photos of the table, cutter, computer, etc.

Hi David,
I purchased the setup back in 2021. I know there has been one software update, but I haven't updated it since I don't even have the computer plugged in. I'll see if I have any pics of the setup before I took it all down...great suggestion. Thank you!

Laura - if you turn on the computer and open Design Edge and look under the "Settings, Activate levels" tab you will be able to see what Design Edge upgrades you have. Upgrades are different than updates. Perhaps post a screen shot showing your software levels. As these generally cost $998 per level, prospective buyers will want to know which ones you have. Also the pipe cutter and router attachments are great to have as well.bransoncerakote wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 6:21 pmHi David,

Hmmm ... you are 450 miles away.
There is another great 510 table for sale in Florida right now too.
You will need to come up with a price on the table. I know of SEVERAL 510 and 4x4 tables for sale now. The economy is about to tank, so people who are not making money with them are selling them.
I, myself may be selling a lot of stuff soon. I have shifted gears, and I may have one HELL of an awesome Fall sale! PlasmaCam is going to get a rude wake up call, when there are 20 to 30 GOOD, USED PlasmaCam tables on eBay and Craigslist, as well as on places like PlasmaSpider and Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, and other online sites.

Re: New PlasmaCam 5X10 Table, Cutter, Etc For Sale
Speaking only for myself, I would be interested in the table, the Hypertherm 85 plasma cutter, and the DesignEdge software license (not the physical PC, but only the DE license). I have no need for the other things. Well, MAYBE the fan, and MAYBE the sheet metal if you don't want to keep that. It is certainly worth something! However, as nice as this setup is, ... I am still not finding an urgent need for another table.
At one time, I was going to set up a PlasmaCam Bed and Breakfast weekend seminar here at my home. I even bought four Samson 510 tables from PlasmaCam for that purpose. But PlasmaCam ...
... Anyway, I had the money refunded and canceled those plans. I considered it once again recently, but then things started happening that convinced me to shift gears.
If those things that cannot be mentioned here
were different, I would certainly jump on this! I just bought a new winch for my truck, in preparation for winter ...

Re: New PlasmaCam 5X10 Table, Cutter, Etc For Sale
Wow! I REALLY wish the world was in a different place right now. I would JUMP on this table! You haven't posted a price, to let people know what number is rolling around in your head. I already have two tables, and I can't justify buying another one right now, even though what YOU are offering is a fantastic package!
So you have the 510 table in GREAT condition, the PC, the high volume fan, the Hypertherm 85 with a hand torch, a metal booth for ... powder coating application? But no oven ... The computer cabinet, some sheet metal stock ...
DesignEdge Software with:
- Advanced Design Upgrade
- Advanced Machine Upgrade
- Advanced Height Control
- Automatic Nesting
- 3D Capability for routing and more
- The Pipe Cutter Upgrade and the metal apparatus for that function
The Engraver
The PlasmaCam Router Adapter
The ONLY thing I would add is the Customizable Size Upgrade, to round out the package.
I will not even suggest a price unless and until I am ready to buy it from you. There is another (similarly equipped) table in Florida for sale right now, and a third one in CommieFornia. I had a plan to set up a PlasmaCam Bed and Breakfast weekend seminar here, and these two tables would get me a LOT closer to that goal. My hesitation? I have learned about human nature over the years. Too many times, I am left holding the bag.
When my mom died, people said, "Oh, I HOPE you record the funeral and the memorial service! I sure want to have a copy! ..." So, at a time when emotions cloud sensible financial decisions, I spent thousands of dollars to have 300 professionally done two-DVD sets produced to hand out, made by a small video production company in SoCal. He did a great job! 280 copies still sit in my garage 12 years later. I can't even get people to give me a mailing address for a FREE copy, shipped at MY expense.
When I built the rail lift kits for the 4x4 and 510 tables, so many people said, "I want one!" So I built 25 sets, and 16 remain packed and ready to ship. These were NOT cheap to produce, but everyone wants something for nothing. I feel like The Little Red Hen.
I have maybe a half dozen projects here, partially completed. The pipe cutter that will solve ALL of the problems of the current PlasmaCam pipe cutter ... but I am hesitant to put any more time and money into it, because nearly everyone who is holding their breath for it, will not follow through when I finish it. EVEN AS I plan to give the entire thing away for FREE, with build plans and cut files, etc.
I have a beneath-the-grates steel conveyor belt designed and half built. It would catch all drops and transport them to a metal trough at the end of the table for easy retrieval. Again, everyone wants me to complete it, but no one wants to pay for the time and expense of developing it.
I will still consider this table (and others) as time passes. However, I am being very conservative in my spending right now, for reasons that shall not be discussed here
I wish you the best of luck in selling your awesome table package!

Thank you Joe, for your kind words. I haven't set a price because I figure someone will give me a fair offer I can live with. Since I've not worked in this industry, I am not even sure what is "fair"...lol.

I would expect that under current market conditions you could reasonably expect to sell you setup for around 60 to 70 percent of your original purchase price. I haven't done the math, but I expect you have invested around 25k with Plasmacam plus your other items. Perhaps start around 20k and proceed from there. You can always come down. In the long run, it will be up to you and your prospective buyer to agree on a sale price.bransoncerakote wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 8:17 amThank you Joe, for your kind words. Of course another option would be to go ahead and take one of more of Robert's classes and get back into the game, as you had originally intended.

You are in the ball park. I think the number should be a bit higher. After all, it has a $5,800.00 plasma cutter, the table (13K?) the pipe cutter ($2K) , and the "Big Three" upgrades ($4K) add Nesting ($1K) and 3D ($1K), the engraver ($1,300) the router ($500?) the fan ($?) the sheet metal ($??) The computer cabinet ($300?) the PC ($1K?) The spray booth ($???)adbuch wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 8:25 am

I am guessing he has something in the neighborhood of $32K+ into this table. I would see it as a bargain at around $25K-ish, mainly because it really HASN'T been used! I don't have that much lying around ... well ...

I think I figured we're about $35,000 in with all of it.
I have chatted with Robert about his classes...and decided that if it doesn't sell, that's exactly the route I'm going
