pcie to peripheral adaptor driver

Post by cruz »

i'm sure this is a issue more people have had.

i had to do a clean install of windows 7 (32bit) because of issue's with visual c++ file missing.
i then installed mach3 again.
before i did i took screenshots of the installed programs in control panel.
there were 2 PCI controllers installed
1: PCI multi-io controller
2: PCIe to peripheral adaptor

i'll add some pics of the screens and the hardware of the pc.
i was able to install the PCI multi-io controller back.

issue: when i run the driver test from the mach3 folder i get the message "no driver sensed installed".
if i look at my drivers i see a "mach3 pulseing engine" and under it "unknown device"

below it under other devices:

- PCI simple communications controller
it has a yellow exclamation mark

looking at any of the drivers properties, it says no driver installed.
the pc has a parallel port, and it used to run mach3 fine before the clean install.

here is a link to all the screenshots and pic they are too big to upload here.

You may need a driver for the Parallel printer post, click on the ports com and LPT and see if there is a printer post enabled.
Is you PCIe to Peripheral adaptor for the printer if so you will need to reload that driver for it to see it. the blue is for the unknwn device and the red is for the printer.

Did you add the PCIe card yourself or was it part of the PC when you got it. You may need to look for a driver on the PC you are communicating for PlasmaSpider. You can try Google if you find one you can use a memory stick to transfer to the other PC to load the driver.

Pc came with the card and software installed from the vendor.
That company is no longer in business, and can no longer be reached.

That's how i got the first controller installed, downloaded it put it on a USB and install it on the pc.

But I can't find the second one.

it's been a while since I last had to deal with something like this but I believe if you connect that computer to the internet you can have the computer search online for the appropriate driver automatically. If you don't have internet in the shop tether the computer to your phone and when you right click on the device in the device list select "Update Driver" and choose to "Search automatically for the updated driver"

AS weldguy says you can do a internet search for the driver, type in the name on the card and driver after it. It may come up with it for you to download Hopefully anyway.
