X axis moving right before every cut?

Post by Motoxrdr »

Im setting up a new computer since our old hard drive crapped out and for some reason when i go to make any cut my x axis is moving to the right almost 4 inches. Anyone have an idea what i can do to stop this? Heres a sample of my G code on just a 1 inch long cut down the y axis.

N0010 (Filename: 1 inch cut.tap)
N0020 (Post processor: Mach3 plasma.scpost)
N0030 (Date: 14/10/2016)
N0040 G20 (Units: Inches)
N0050 G53 G90 G91.1 G40
N0060 F1
N0070 S500
N0080 (Part: 1 inch cut)
N0090 (Operation: No Offset, 0, T3: 1/8" 125 45amp fince cut )
N0100 M06 T3 F80.0 (1/8" 125 45amp fince cut )
N0110 G00 Z0.3937
N0120 X3.9370 Y0.3937
N0130 Z0.0800
N0140 M03
N0150 G04 P0.01
N0160 G01 Z0.0600 F60.0
N0170 Y1.3937 F80.0
N0180 M05
N0190 G00 Z0.3937
N0200 M05 M30

Look at line 120 and you can see where the g code is telling the gantry to do that but i dont know why. This cut is suppose to just be a 1 inch long line running up the y axis, it also does it on different size lines and on files i have downloaded. thanks in advance for any help.

Most likely because you have an offset in your job in sheetcam. Go to sheetcam/options/job options and see if you have an offset.
