Mach 3 torch height question.

Post by Ribbedgiraffe »

Hello everyone, I was trouble shooting some problems tonight on my Mach 3 controlled CNC. I do not know what I've done wrong, but I cannot increase my pierce height beyond about 2mm, doesn't matter what I set the height to in plasma cam, it won't increase beyond 2mm.

Thoughts?

Is the gcode telling your Z axis to move higher than 2mm. I.E. is it the generated gcode that is the problem.

Good question Beefy - Ill check tonight when I get home. Sorry if the question seems dumb - This is my first CNC and something I'm just trying to learn to make jeep parts and a few small side jobs :-)
