home switch
i have the home switchs blinking in diagnostics mach3,if i click the switch they stay lit but dont cause a shutdown,any ideas here. thanks dave

If you are wiring them a normally closed and this happen you have a intermittent brake in the wiring circuit.
If it were hooked to the limit switch that would stop movement.
Mach 3 looks at switches differently if you the G-code is moving an axis to home it will stop that axis movement in that direction. If you watch it backs off the switch so the signal goes away. But If you are moving and a limit is tripped it stops all movement and you must move the axis off the limit manually. You can go to the settings (alt-6) and click on the Manual limit override and move the axis with the pendent.
This is why using the command Z home is used for the floating head switch like (G28.1 Z0.50) or similar.
