Loss of drivers??

Problems:

When I initiate the machine, something happens that renders my mouse and keyboard useless.

Self Diagnostics so far:

Both are USB devices, so i tried using a wireless mouse instead via usb, to rule out the mouse, and no difference.
I tried using different USB ports and had no difference.
I thought that it might be knocking out my USB drivers in general, but the adapter for my wireless internet still works.

Only solution I got as of now:

I remote into the computer with my laptop and control it via laptop mouse and keyboard.
