converting images

Post by hwelding »

Does anyone use the software that cam with there plasmacam for converting a scanned image or picture for chainging it into something that can be cut ? If so what do oyu put the settings at ? Alot of times when i am doing it , it changes or cuts out alot of the items. I have a couple projects atm of some logos for people and its cutting out a ton of the detail on them as it converts even thou its a good clear picture. If you use this software could you tell me the settings or some other program that is easier or better to use ? Thank you for your time and help. New to it so need the help. Was spending so much time ording custom things for gates that i made that was more cost effective to get my own . Now just gotta get threw the learning curve.

It depends on how much contrast you have between the subject and the background. If the picture does not have much contrast, the simple method is to use trace tool in Plasmacam Design Edge or Windows Paint and trace the outline.
