optimize toolpath problems

I was just wondering if anyone else has problems when importing a file in the torchmate software when the optimize toolpath box is checked. If I have it checked it works great to optimize the toolpath but it will also cut the outside of the part before the inside pieces are finished and that always causes problems. When I leave it unchecked the torch travels back and forth many times and is a major waste of time. Anyone else found a cure for this problem?
