Help with dxf file

Having trouble the dxf file "looks" good to me, but when i put in sheet cam has extra lines. Needing just the basic hook outline to cut.
Could some one tell be what i did wrong in qcad?

Just taking a quick look at your Sheetcam screenshot, I see 2 start points when you should just have 1. You need to get rid of that S1 start point. It's probably a extra dot that shouldn't be there.
When I loaded your .dxf into a cad program, I see several extra dots spread around the screen.
I suspect you need to go back to your drawing program and delete those extra dots.

The part as you have it is made up of 11 individual lines, as well as some random bits... I joined them into one continuous line...

Thank you, i assume your probably not using qcad, but what is the basic function of how to join into one line.

I use LightBurn. I start by selecting all the lines and try AUTO JOIN, if that doesn't connect them all I zoom in and manually drag the ends together.

In SheetCam you can remove dots by using the contour tool. I use it to separate layers so I can do different plans for each. In the image your drawing is the red arrow, the yellow is what I called the hook itself, and the blue is the additional part you did not want. You can see they are separate in the last image. You can also use this to separate inside and outside paths for cutting plans. :Like
