How to center an image

I may be overthinking this but is there a way to center an object? Example. Making 2 circles to make a border and I spend way too much time trying to make sure the circles are even all around. Seems like I should be able to click center object and bam its centered. Any suggestions?

first off, this belongs in software thread. What software you using. I use inkscape and the align and distribute. Use the youtube.
