I can open it with Autocad 2008 and explode it. I did notice you have a lot of duplicate entities....5 to 6 thouasand. Don't know if this helps you as I really don't know much about Corel.

there are a couple useful commands in AutoCAD to help clean up files... if you highlight the drawing in a box and in the command line you can type " OVERKILL " . this will will delete alot of duplicate lines.

Hi,
Here is a slightly simplified version with some of the doubles erased. Hope this helps.

I had alot of problems with duplicate lines when i used Corel 3x back in the day, I switched over to Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Vector Magic home version and haven't looked back.

first, for exchanging corel files it is best to use CMX format

importing the first dxf posted, in corel, select all and combine then fill, and it doesn't fill right, the holes are filled, which means the holes must have copies on top of each other

it turned out that everything except the outer oval had 2 copies, so I just deleted one of each hole, then combined all, and it filled correctly, which usually means it's ok,

but actually if you had 3 copies, it might look ok but still not work ok, in which case if you zoom in and look close at the nodes they just don't look normal and there's more than there should be.

it's not a corel issue or error per se, there are many ways to create excess copies like that accidentally

there's no logical reason for autocad to crash on a dxf, can't help you there, except in corel you can choose the dxf output format version, it might be that you are exporting a much later version of dxf, try exporting dxf version 2004 or earlier
