Corel Draw Welding Issues

hi I'm trying to do a custom wreath with names and the tree of life. and it wont weld together can anyone help thanks in advance !

Biggest problem with welding is that the two objects you are trying to weld together are on different layers. What you need to do first is to select both objects you want to weld and then "Combine" them together. You can find the "Combine" under the "Arrange" pull down menu. Also, welding can be funky if both objects are not closed objects (open nodes). Some times it will work fine, other times it goes crazy. If you are having problems with connecting text to an object, you can sometimes "Break Apart" the text so that you have individual letters, and then try welding them one by one.

Most times if both objects are completely closed, you can weld them together no problem.

If you can post the file you are having problems with - or let us know what it is doing when you try to weld we can probably get a more direct answer to your trouble.
