That's great, glad to hear are making positive progress. This site is great for helpful people, we all know the struggle when getting started.

In my opinion I would stick with your proven base settings on your 2" letters unless your machine is obviously struggling with delivering good cut quality as a result of travelling too fast.

Good tight machines with proper slow downs and acceleration should have no problem but I have seen many cases where slowing down and reducing amperage does help.

It looks like you are making good progress! Keep it up and let us know if you run into any other problems. Also post some photos of your table setup and some of your projects when you get a chance.
