Another one bites the dust.

Post by Metal Troll »

Well got the news on Monday that my shop is closing its doors at the end of the month by the owner :( . So this might be the end of my plasma cutting career. I am hoping I can find something doing the same thing but being in Phoenix AZ the odds are slim. If it is the end I wont be needing all the wonderful information and outstanding community that is this site.

I would like to thank everyone on here for all the help that you have given me over the years. You have all taught me so much about plasma cutting and designing DXF's. I have done many things over the years and this is some of the most enjoyable things that I have done. If I do happen to get a job running a plasma table and doing designs I will be back for sure. I will check back in on occasion to check out some of the wonderful work that you all do just because I really enjoy and appreciate the skill and creativity that you all have.

Thank you,

Check out rfqwork.com

Look in the employment section. Often jobs requiring your experience are offered. Phoenix AZ? possibly, you never know!

Best of luck and GodSpeed!!!!

I have a table in North Dakota that you could run as well. Good help is hard to find with all the oil around me.

We have a old customer that "might" be buying all the equipment and "might" offer me and the other guythat works herself a job to run it. But if things don't work out I am not afraid to pick up stakes and move to greener pasture. I am originally from South Dakota so the frozen north doesn't scare me. I might end up posting a resume. I want to stick it out and help the owner wrap up the closing. He could have shut everything down a couple of years ago but didn't and kept me working threw some hard times.

Plasma is not the only x-y-z cutting jobs out there. Laser and waterjet are the same motion control and what you have learned is applicable to both. Keep those in mind. - John

Ballistic Fabrication is looking for cnc operators. They are in Tucson, AZ and cut a lot of cool things for offroad fabrication.
