Never heard or seen of it before but it looks like a pretty trick little unit for the money.

With the exception of not being polished and still having a rough machined finish, I was thinking the same. Looks good. Not sure if it’ll hold up or have any issues with binding and sticking etc. hoping someone out here can offer some words of wisdom from having used it.

I thought I read they were in Canada somewhere so I had to go double check. Ebay says it should be hear by next week. Total to my door was $360 and some change unless customs decides otherwise :/ I got the last one on ebay that has the base mounting plate of 4"x4"

Their web pages say anything over $100 ships free.



Their statement regarding shipping charges. I bought it for $315 and it came to $360 in paypal credit which is almost $20 more than what I pay for @9% sales tax so I'm guessing and hoping the VAT was included in that final price.

My biggest concern would be the slides gauling and sticking. I might have to figure out a wiper solution to the slide rails. I know it's expensive but with any luck it'll be one less thing I have to worry about working right out of the box with out hours of trying to fabricoble a solution. I'm not 100% confident in my abilities to cut and drill with tooling on hand to make it true and 90 deg to the gantry. Hoping to mitigate any kerf width or cut angularity issues. This should also add to the potential to make it more desirable should I have to sell.

I have definitely been thinking about that. Not quite sure how I’m going to go about it just yet so that nothing binds or gets in the way of anything on the Z axes.

I don't have a lot of hours on it yet but so far it's been fine. I'm a little surprised how noisy the ball screw is. Maybe I'm turning it too fast, ha. I have the smallest Clearpath servo available bolted on top and have my Z axis travel set to a max of 350 IPM. (I had it faster, but slowed it down.)

There were a few QA issues:

1. It came with a fried breakaway proximity sensor (smelled like it had let the smoke out, and certainly didn't work) but I was able to buy one just like it on ol' amazon for around $15.
2. The magnetic breakaway plate is held in position by 4 hex head screws and they fit the backplate loosely, allowing the torch to move a bit. To fix this I put small washers on each bolt, making them protrude a little farther. Problem solved.

I have a downdraft table so I have no concerns about water. I expect it to give me years of reliable service.

Pretty sure they are in Cambridge, Ontario. About 1.5 hours away from me; that's why I bought from them rather than trying to mess with import fees and exchange to get something from the states.
