Ive been using udemy.com for training courses and youtube for tutorials.
Im working on learning SolidEdge for 3D and use QCad for quick 2D, although SolidEdge does do 2D as well.

I use Corel Draw for artistic type drawings and Fusion 360 for mechanical type drawings. Both of those are covered very well online in terms of tutorials, videos, etc. Both offer a free trial as well which is nice. What are you currently using?

librecad is similar to QCAD and free (librecad was apparently a fork of QCAD).

I would suggest learning FreeCAD for 3D and forget about Fusion360 / Onshape / Solidworks..... as it's FREE!

librecad is good for 2d stuff.

FreeCAD for 3D of sheet metal (where you have complex bent and cut parts to fit something like a bracket or mount etc).

Youtube is probably a good place to start as there are a lot of beginners tutorials on both freecad and librecad.

My recommendation is Fusion 360. It is free for educational use or for hobbyists. For cnc plasma cutting application, Langmuir has some great tutorial videos.

For solid modeling (like the rocker arm I modeled for you) Arnold Rowntree has a great set of youtube tutorials. There are "hands-on" where he supplies the drawings you will be working from, then leads you step-by-step to show exactly how to do it, and what the most efficient and useful methods are.

I have personally studied both the Langmuir and Arnold Rowntree tutorials and I can tell you that they are both great.
