adjusting cut hight at starfire controller SF 2100 BG

Post by RainerW »

Hi,
since two days I have a problem that after piercing the torch goes way up and does not really cut.
I change the nozzle to fine cut nozzel and I´m not really sure that I canged unexpected something at the settings.
No I want to bring down the cutting height to a normal position (around 20mm at the moment) but more or less I don´t really now how.
I do have a starfire controller and I contact the company tech support but the don´t answere me.

Would be great!!!

Thanks Rainer

I am have a similar problem with the Starfire. I think I have the correct height setting but it still flames out after piercing. Have changed all consumables.

Does it flame out because the torch is lifting too far from the material or is the height correct and it's just flaming out?

The height was correct but now it’s going really high and I can’t get it back to cutting height.

Turn your auto torch height control off, that could be what is causing it to climb. Confirm you can cut shapes with success without the auto height control before you introduce that into the mix. Are you able to cut really well with the height control off?
