Hello,
I hope this is the proper forum for this topic. I live in the Central Kentucky area and steel prices have jumped again. If anyone on this forum is located in this area would you care to share what vendors you are using for material?
Right now Metals Depot in Winchester, KY is pricing 4x8 16ga at $253 a sheet. Rural King is pricing 2x2 16ga at $42.
Just kinda wondering what everyone else is paying or if there is a supplier I could get a better price at.
Thanks

Re: Steel Cost
I'm in Tucson, Arizona (and not your area) but those prices do seem pretty high. Here in Tucson the current price from my favorite local supplier is $152.85 for 4x8x16ga. cold rolled and $130 for 4x8x16ga. hot rolled.claytoncad wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 11:15 am Hello,

Re: Steel Cost
Scrap dealers are paying $100 a ton for scrap steel here. They expect it to go to $400 a ton shortly, so I expect that the price of new steel is also going up.
