MyPlasm CNC

Post by MAS »

Hello from sunny and hot South Texas.
I am retrofitting my plasma cutter to Proma's MyPlasm CNC system.
I finally got everything to work except one thing.
When I home the system the Y-axis travels to home and hits the limit switches and the stops but
it keeps trying to travel, won't stop when the home switches are tripped.
X-axis and Z-axis work perfect they travel home hit the switches, stop then travel very slightly away from the switches.
I've checked and rechecked settings wiring can't find anything wrong.
Has anyone had this problem with Proma's MyPlasm CNC?
I really like this new product.
thanks in advance.

If the limit switch is bad it would cause that to happen, or if you did not set the Y limit/home pin in the home sequence.

Limit switches are new. the orange lights come on on the controller board when each switch is activated. I have one switch connected to y-axis home and the other switch connected to input 1.
I going to try it by connecting the slave axis switch to input 2 and see if that works.
thanks for you reply,

Not sure if MyPlasm is like Mach but not only do you have to connect the switch to an input but also enable it.

No Sir no need or way to enable, they operate when they are connected.
If I can't get it to work I'll email Proma in Poland. They answer fast only thing is the time zone difference.
