Please HELP!!! Looking for some information on THC motors.
Problem: After talking to company and running some tests on my machine conclusion is that the Dynetic Systems DC Servo Motor Tach on my plasma cutter needs to be rebuilt...motor works fine, but tach is shot.
Question #1: Can I replace this motor with similar one I find used? Does it have to be same exact model to run machine without changing anything on program?
Question #2: Recommendations on companies who rebuild and estimated cost of this type of service.

If you knew the all the specs of the tach you may find a suitable replacement but I would just try to replace it with the exact same part if its available. Any change in pulses per rev, voltage, etc would cause it to not function properly I am sure.
